Sarah Ulmer was back at Christchurch's Spencer Park on Sunday 31 January for the annual Molenberg SUB Stride - an event designed for every Kiwi female to get outdoors and active!
SUB (Sarah Ulmer Brand) is about inspiring women from all fitness levels to get out there and be active as part of a friendly and non-threatening day of walking, running and cycling.
Ulmer attends the event each year and says she loves seeing women achieving their goals, whether it is winning the 60km cycle or completing the 5km walk.
"I love event days, seeing kiwi chicks getting out there and giving it a crack at whichever event challenge they have set themselves," she says.
The Christchurch event is part of a nationwide series and was filled with fun, friendship, a sense of accomplishment and plenty of Molenberg toast!
There was something to suit all women, from a 5km walk or run through Spencer Park to a leisurely 20km cycle loop on the surrounding roads.
The day concluded with some wonderful spot prizes and for the more competitive participants out there - merit prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in four different age divisions.
Keep an eye on www.molenbergsubseries.co.nz for when the event is coming back to Christchurch.
