• Start at Halswell Road, following cycle lane north-east
• Pass through rural area where the speed increases to 80 kph
• At Hillmorton the speed limit drops to 50 kph and Halswell Road becomes Lincoln Road
• Look out for car doors opening and pedestrians crossing as you pass the cafés and shops
• Follow Lincoln Road to Moorhouse Avenue
• Turn left onto Hagley Avenue
• Arrive at city centre
