Mairehau to Fendalton

About this ride

This cross-town route is useful for travelling to the University or to connect onto a number of other routes that lead to both the city centre or the various malls and shopping areas in the north and west of the city

• Start at Mairehau High School on the corner of Hills Road and Innes Road
• Follow west along Innes Road, past Mairehau School and Our Lady of Fatima School to traffic lights at Cranford Street
• Follow Innes Road traffic lights at Rutland Street
• Turn left onto Colombo Street or the one way Montreal Street, via Springfield Road

Alternatively

• Follow Innes Road to the traffic lights at Papanui Road
• Turn left to Merivale shopping centre or to Victoria Street
• Arrive at city centre

Alternatively

• Follow Innes Road to cross the road where Innes Road becomes Heaton Street
• Follow Heaton Street to the lights at Rossall Street
• Turn left to Hagley Park
• Arrive at city centre

Alternatively

• Continue straight to the railway line to join the off road path that leads to the city, Fendalton, Papanui, Riccarton and beyond
• Or cross the railway line and follow to the roundabout at Idris Road
• Turn left to Fendalton Road, Straven Road and the Shops and Mall at Riccarton
• Follow straight to Glandovey Road and Fendalton Road
• Turn right onto Clyde Road intersection where a left turn leads to the University of Canterbury or carry straight on into Memorial Avenue and arrive at the airport
